Meet the love of my life

Happy Julidays, day 6 everyone! If you’re new to my blog and don’t know what the Julidays are, please click here to catch up on my latest posts!

Tonight, I wanted to share a very special someone with you. He’s been in my life for years and is my favorite man that has ever existed (besides my dad). He is featured on my Snapchat, Insta and Facebook quite often, and he even has his own hashtag! He’s one of the best things that has ever happened to me, and I can’t believe that I ever lived life without him.

Are you ready to meet the love of my life?

Drumroll please…

Isn’t he just the cutest??

Everyone, I’d like you to meet Myron! He’s almost 9 years old, loves “hiding” in boxes, licking plastic (I know, he’s strange), and being the center of attention in the Talavera household.

Ah! Were you expecting to get to know my boyfriend, or I don’t know… an actual human? Sorry to rain on your parade, but seeing as how I’m a crazy cat lady, Myron sits on a pretty high pedestal compared to my boyfriend (…just kidding Lucas, I love you sooo much… (: )

Not only is Myron the best cat ever, but he also gives great, deep tissue leg massages… even if you really don’t want them. This holiday season, you can find him getting into all the decorations… I think he wants to be Santa’s number 1 helper this year.

This is how you help, right?

Everyday, I am so thankful that I have such an amazing pet, and yes I know, cats aren’t everyone’s favorite choice for an animal. I too was one of those “dogs 5ever people”, but I’m so happy that this furball came into my life, because he brings me and my family so much joy. During the holiday season, I’m extremely grateful that we get to spend another Christmas with him. Unfortunately, my cat suffers from renal (kidney) failure. My parents have devoted so much time, energy, and money to getting him on a healthy diet and the right types of medicine. This disease is something that generally doesn’t happen to cats until they’re 14-15 years old, and my poor baby got it around the time he was 7-8. Through a lot of work and faith, my parents have gotten him to a healthy weight and it seems like nothing at all is wrong with him. So we’re wishin’ and hopin’ that this journey keeps going up! It’d be super awesome if you guys could send positive vibes 🙂 I’d really appreciate it.

So this isn’t really related to the holidays, and was more of a stream of consciousness rather than a focused thought… so sorry if this seems like a ramble!

Do you guys have a furry love of your life? I’d love to hear about them 🙂

Thanks so much for reading another day of Julidays! If you have ideas for things you’d like to read this holiday season, please comment below, and be sure to subscribe so you never miss out on new content! If you want to see more of Myron (and who wouldn’t?), follow me on Instagram, @juliatalavera, or look up #MeowItsMyron 🙂

Happy Julidays!
XO, Julia
